Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Effective from 7th May 2018
SUPPORTING OUR CLIENTS & CANDIDATES THROUGH THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS
We find ourselves in a unique situation where our lives have become disrupted and we are adjusting to alternative ways of working. This situation may last for a some while now, however in the coming weeks/months we have decided that it is important to alter the way we operate as an agency, to ensure the safety of our team, nannies and clients.
Both the London and Surrey office are now open and have adjusted our working practices to ensure that we are able to deliver a high standard of service to our nannies and clients.
Nannies
- In terms of new nannies seeking to register with the agency, we are still conducting interviews, however they will be done via video and not face to face. Once the lockdown has ceased and the Government has revised the social distancing policy, we would require the nanny to meet with a member of the Buttons team face to face.
- As part of the registration process we would still require nannies to have the following documentation for example up to date DBS, Ofsted, First Ad, ID (e.g passport, driving license, birth certificate etc), proof of address, childcare qualifications, certificates and written references. These would need to be either scanned or photographed and sent to the agency via email ahead of a scheduled video interview.
- In terms of client/nanny interviews, we will arrange these in advance and confirmation of the video interview will be sent to both the candidate and the client, ensuring that PublicHealth England guidelines are followed for everyone’s safety.
- For a commencement of a new role, we would encourage that the nanny self isolates and follows social distancing guidelines.
- As of Wednesday 13th May 2020, the Government have advised that if you are unable to work from home, you are permitted to go to work. Please refer to the Working Safely During COVID-19 in Other Peoples’ Homes for further information.
Families
- The registration process for new clients, this will remain this same as we will send out a registration form via email for families to complete. We would liaise with the family vie telephone and email throughout the entire process.
- In terms of client/nanny interviews, we will arrange these in advance and confirmation of the video interview will be sent to both the candidate and the client, ensuring that Public Health England guidelines are followed for everyone’s safety.
- As of Wednesday 13th May 2020, the Government have advised that if you are unable to work from home, you are permitted to go to work. Please refer to the Working Safely During COVID-19 in Other Peoples’ Homes for further information. As an employer, you would need to ensure that Government guidelines are administered which would include social distancing between yourself and your employee.
